What therapy with me looks like
Starting therapy can feel like a big step. Here's what you can expect, explained plainly — and know that sessions at Ellie Mental Health are available in English or Mandarin.
Your first session
The first session is unhurried. There's no pressure to share everything at once. We'll talk about what brought you in, what you're hoping for, and any questions you have. Mostly, it's a chance to see how it feels to talk with me — the relationship matters more than anything else.

The approaches I use
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
We gently notice the thoughts and patterns that shape how you feel, and practice new ways of responding that fit your real life.
Solution-Focused Therapy
Rather than dwelling only on what's wrong, we build on your existing strengths and small wins to move toward what you want.
Strengths-Based & Culturally-Attuned Care
I start from the belief that you already carry wisdom and resilience. We work with your culture and values, never against them.
Who I'm a good fit for
I work well with teens, adults, and couples navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, and relationship difficulties, especially those who want a therapist who understands the Asian and bicultural experience. I also focuses on supporting highly sensitive persons (HSPs), immigrants, and multicultural families.
Sessions available in English or Mandarin (國語 / 普通話). Both in person or via Telehealth (Online).
